Stool 60 Artek

Designed in 1933 by the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto, the stool 60 has become a design icon. Originally created for the Viipuri Library, it created a sensation with its three birch-plywood L-shaped legs. The stool 60 represented a new approach to design: the use of wood rather than metal was revolutionary in its time.
