The Bestlite BL9 Gubi pendant light system is available in four sizes and a wide range of finishes. It was designed in 1930 by the British designer Robert Dudley Best, influenced by the Bauhaus. The Bestlite lamp was first adopted by garages and technical services of the Royal Air Force because of its high functionality. Public demand for Bestlite lamps quickly followed and when Winston Churchill personally chose the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk, Bestlite's iconic status was achieved. This contemporary classic is now part of the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. With its great heritage and contemporary look, the BL9 pendant light is a design coveted worldwide. Highlighting the simple but classic lampshade characteristic of the entire collection, the BL9 suspension lamp by Gubi emits a direct light perfectly suited to the kitchen and dining room, in all interior styles.
