The Lounge Chair is one of the most famous of Charles and Ray Eames' creations. Designed in 1956, today it is a classic in the history of contemporary furniture, present in our collective imagination. The Lounge Chair now released by Vitra combines absolute comfort and quality at the highest level, both in materials and workmanship. Charles and Ray Eames reinterpreted the traditional English club chair, with the goal that it “has the warm appearance and appeal of a worn baseball glove from first base”. Equipped with or without a footrest (Ottoman), the Lounge Chair has become timeless, and ensures optimum levels of comfort for reading or listening to music, in your bedroom, office or in a corner of your living room. Originally made of rosewood and black leather, the armchair is also available on SILVERA-eshop in bleached walnut and white leather.
