Toio floor lamp provides indirect light and was created by the Castiglioni brothers in 1962. It has become a design icon and is featured in MoMA's collection. The base is made of cut and folded steel, while the structure is made of shaped steel, all of which are coated in liquid paint. It features a telescopic stem with a nickel-plated brass hexagonal section, enabling the height to be adjusted between 158cm and 195cm. An electronic dimmer is attached to the cable and enables light intensity to be gradually adjusted. The strong contrast between the lightness of the stem and the diameter of the light characterise the Toio floor lamp and create a resolutely industrial look. It comes in two colours: red and black. This industrial "sculpture" provides effective ambient lighting in a hallway or living room.
