Two minds, one aspiration, one desire. The desire to create, transform and interpret. A common passion: glass. The result: the creation of a laboratory of ideas. That was back in 1955. Pierangelo Gallotti and Luigi Radice founded an artistic space dedicated to glass decoration. Tradition and innovation blended together to create small-scale, precious production. Light fixtures, furniture, and mirrors were the first products to be made. All parts were unique and made exclusively by hand. Founders Luigi Radice and Piarangelo Gallotti shared the company's origins and artisanal philosophy: Growing, innovating, researching. Both partners understood that they had to go beyond artistic production and decoration and felt the need and desire to expand the collection further. As such, they enrolled in the School of Applied Arts of Castello Sforzesco in Milan. They took courses in drawing and decoration, capturing all aspects of technical and ornamental design in detail. This gave rise to a unique project, a new challenge: Gallotti & Radice. Gallotti & Radice is characterised by detailed production, which requires continuous research and a considerable knowledge and mastery of the various processes. These processes aren't undertaken by workers. They are handled by master craftsmen, experts in their field. They know how to work glass. Masters and disciples who keep the craft a secret. A tradition passed down for generations.
