Pendant Light YANZI 1 Artemide

With Yanzi, the Neri & Hu studio has created a collection of imaginative light fittings for Artemide. In a synthesis of tradition and innovation, Yanzi is a playful composition of graphic symbols: an equilibrium of branch- or perch-like structures on which are balanced a variety of stylised shapes, creating different versions and qualities of light. They are iconic swallows, with bodies of brushed brass and heads formed of white glass spheres that contain the light. The collection produced by Artemide sensitively juxtaposes hot and cold materials that are both essential and sought-after. As a floor or table lamp, Yanzi imaginatively and stylishly brings spaces alive.
