Bank is a half-moon-shaped pendant light made of opal or smoked blown glass and black epoxy finished aluminium. Opaque glass gently diffuses light at 360 degrees, creating both functional and ambient light. The materials used ensure a quality lamp, made to last over time. The founders of Norm Architects were inspired by a vintage-style street lamp that they spotted several times while strolling through New York's financial district. The shape – which had emerged in the 1920s – was soon modernised in the designers' imagination, becoming the Bank lamp. Retrospective yet original, the design of this pendant light combines city-slick elegance with a warm ambience. Produced by Menu, the Bank lamp fits equally well into either a home environment or a public space.
